Cart Guard – Total Cart Care Protection Plan

Simple, Clear Summary of Coverage (Pages 1–9)

The Cart Guard Total Cart Care Vehicle Service Agreement protects your golf cart against unexpected expenses related to keys, tires & wheels, and windshield/windscreen replacement, with nationwide claims support and insured backing. This Agreement lasts for the Term listed on your Schedule Page and applies only to the Vehicle and customer listed there.

What’s Covered

1. Key Repair & Replacement

If your provided key, fob, remote, or RFID card becomes inoperable, lost, or stolen, Cart Guard will pay to repair or replace it.

Coverage Details

  • You pay $0 out of pocket up to $500 per claim

  • $500 total maximum benefit for the entire Agreement Term

  • All inoperable keys must be given to the Seller/Administrator to inspect

  • Cart Guard does not supply keys—only pays for programming/cutting

Key Coverage Not Included

  • Keys replaced without prior authorization

  • Keys replaced due to dead batteries

  • Anything already covered under a manufacturer warranty or recall

2. Tire & Wheel Protection

Protection against damage caused by Road Hazards, including nails, glass, potholes, rocks, and debris.

Tire Protection

  • Covers repair or replacement of a Covered Tire damaged by a Road Hazard

  • Tire must have at least 2/32” tread remaining

  • Includes mounting, balancing, valve stems, disposal, and tax

Wheel Protection

  • Covers repair or replacement when the wheel is damaged by a Road Hazard and can no longer hold an airtight seal

  • Replacement wheels may be new, remanufactured, or equivalent quality

Tire & Wheel Benefit Limits

  • Up to $2,000 per claim

  • Up to $2,000 total for the Term

  • Cannot exceed the average retail value of the Vehicle

Tire & Wheel Exclusions

No coverage for:

  • Cosmetic wheel damage (scratches, scuffs, curb rash)

  • Sidewall damage or tire impact with a curb

  • Dry rot, cracking, worn tires, misalignment damage

  • Rust, corrosion, peeling finish

  • Non-OEM or non-spec tires/wheels

  • Claims not reported within 48 hours

3. Windshield / Windscreen Replacement

Covers replacement of the cart windshield damaged by:

  • Rocks, stones, and debris kicked up while driving

  • Stress cracks from bumps

  • Damage occurring on public roads or golf paths

Windshield Limits

  • Up to $500 per claim

  • Up to $500 total for the Term

Important Windshield Rules

  • All service must be arranged through Cart Guard

  • No reimbursement for outside vendors

  • Photos of VIN, damage, and size of break are required

Windshield Exclusions

  • Any parts not necessary for the repair

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Damage covered under manufacturer warranty

General Exclusions (Not Covered)

This Agreement does not cover:

  • Vehicles used commercially, for rental, or by golf courses

  • Damage outside the U.S. or Canada

  • Unauthorized repairs

  • Damage from accident, fire, flood, theft, vandalism

  • Pre-existing conditions

  • Modifications beyond manufacturer specs

  • Environmental/chemical cleanup fees

  • Incidental or consequential damages (loss of use, storage, downtime)

  • Wheels/tires not original or manufacturer-recommended

  • Racing or off-spec use

Vehicles Not Eligible
  • Salvage/bad title vehicles

  • Total losses

  • Non-U.S. certified vehicles

  • Vehicles used in racing, speed trials, commercial fleets

How to File a Claim

For Keys

  1. Call (844) 737-1460 for pre-authorization

  2. Within 45 miles → return to the original Seller

  3. Beyond 45 miles → use any licensed Repair Facility

  4. Provide repair orders, receipts, and documentation

For Tire or Wheel Damage

  1. Stop driving if unsafe

  2. Tow if necessary

  3. Go to any Repair Facility

  4. Facility must call (844) 737-1460 before repairs

  5. Provide photos: damage, VIN, DOT, tread depth

For Windshield Replacement

  1. Call (844) 737-1460 before any work

  2. Submit photos of damage and VIN plate

  3. Cart Guard schedules the technician

  4. No outside vendor reimbursement

Transfer Rules

You may transfer the Agreement to a private buyer if:

  • You request a transfer form within 15 days of sale

  • You send maintenance records and odometer certification within 30 days

  • You transfer any remaining factory warranty

  • You pay a $50 transfer fee

Dealers cannot transfer Agreements.

Cancellation Options

You May Cancel

  • Within 30 days: Full refund (minus claims paid)

  • After 30 days: Prorated refund minus $50 fee and claims paid

  • All refunds issued through the Seller

Lienholder May Cancel

If loan default, repossession, or total loss occurs.

Provider May Cancel

Reasons include:

  • Nonpayment

  • Fraud or misrepresentation

  • Violating Agreement conditions

  • Odometer/tachometer tampering

  • Substantial change in required service

Provider cancellations require 15 days’ notice.

Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

This Agreement includes mandatory binding arbitration and prohibits participation in class actions.

Insurance Backing

Your coverage is backed by a licensed insurance company such as:

  • Lyndon Southern Insurance Company

  • Insurance Company of the South (GA)

  • Response Indemnity Company of California

  • Blue Ridge Indemnity Company (NY & WI)

If the Obligor does not pay an approved claim within 60 days, you may file directly with the insurer.
