This Golf Cart Vehicle Service Agreement provides protection against covered mechanical Breakdowns for the golf cart listed on your Schedule Page. Coverage begins on the Agreement Purchase Date and ends on the expiration date shown in your contract.
What This Agreement Covers
You are protected against the failure of Covered Parts due to defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. A Breakdown means a covered component can no longer perform its intended function (not normal wear and tear).
Major Component Groups Covered
This Agreement offers Exclusionary Coverage, meaning all parts are covered except those specifically listed in the exclusions. Covered systems include:

Electric Golf Cart Battery Protection
For eligible electric carts, this plan includes EV Battery Breakdown Coverage. A battery is considered failed when it can no longer retain 70% of original capacity, unless the manufacturer sets a lower limit.
You are eligible for one EV battery replacement, up to $500 during the Agreement term.
Additional Benefits
Rental Cart Reimbursement
If your cart must stay overnight for a covered repair, you may be reimbursed up to $30/day for 5 days (max $150).
Service Call Reimbursement
If your cart cannot be transported, you may receive up to $100 per Breakdown for service call expenses.
Pick-Up & Delivery Reimbursement
Up to $100 for covered pick-up and delivery charges.
Diagnostic Coverage
Reasonable and necessary diagnostic time is covered when related to a Breakdown (limitations apply).
Important Exclusions
This Agreement does not cover:

Repairs outside the U.S. or Canada

Non-authorized or non-preapproved repairs
-
Damage from accidents, misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, modifications, or commercial use

Pre-existing conditions
-
Normal wear, cosmetic damage, environmental damage, rust, corrosion

Maintenance items (filters, belts, hoses, fluids, spark plugs, tires, brakes, etc.)

Batteries for gas-powered vehicles
-
Aftermarket electronics or accessories
-
Failures due to lack of proper maintenance or improper fuel
-
Damage from weather events, theft, vandalism, or acts of nature
-
Incidental or consequential damages (loss of use, rental cost, downtime)

How to File a Claim

Prevent further damage immediately.

If unsafe to drive, have the cart towed.
-
Take your vehicle to the Seller or any licensed Repair Facility.
-
The facility must call the Administrator at (844) 737-1460 before repairs.
-
You must approve necessary diagnostics.
-
Provide maintenance records if requested.
-
Submit repair orders and receipts within 30 days of completed repairs.
Unauthorized repairs will not be covered.
Your Responsibilities

Maintain the golf cart according to the manufacturer’s service schedule.

Keep proof of maintenance, including receipts and logs.
-
Cooperate with inspections and provide documentation when requested.
Failure to maintain proper records may result in denial of coverage.
Agreement Limits

Maximum payout per visit cannot exceed:

The cost of the Claim, or
-
The vehicle’s actual cash value (ACV) before the Breakdown, or
-
The value in the applicable vehicle guidebook

Aggregate benefits cannot exceed the price you paid for the vehicle.
Transfer & Cancellation
Transfer
You may transfer the Agreement to a new private owner by:

Requesting a transfer form within 15 days of sale

Providing proof of maintenance
-
Paying a $50 transfer fee
Dealers cannot transfer agreements.
Cancellation
You may cancel:
-
Within 30 days: full refund (less claims paid)
-
After 30 days: prorated refund minus $50 fee and any claims paid
Lienholders may also cancel under specific conditions.
Arbitration & Class Action Waiver
Disputes related to this Agreement must be resolved through binding individual arbitration, not in court and not as part of a class action.
You may opt out within 30 days by submitting written notice to the addresses provided in the Agreement.
Who Administers This Agreement?
The Service Agreement Provider/Obligor is Ownershield, Inc. (except in certain states).
Obligations are insured by top-rated insurers such as:

If the Obligor fails to pay a covered claim within 60 days, you may file directly with the insurer.
